Launceston West Ward Young Women: Young Women's Sleepover!

Friday night was a night when all the Young Women got together to have a sleepover, it was held at Clare's place and we must say a BIG THANKYOU to Bishop for letting us overrun his house! We all arrived and sat around and had some great chats about everything and anything! We then decided to get sorted to go and do some grocery shopping for breakfast and then a trip to Westbury for the BEST ice creams! The girls seem to LOVE to dress up so we got them to dress up to go out, we had some basketball players pand bear, a princess and some wacky styles! We got a few looks as we went into coles but overall it was all good! After selecting some breakfast items we drove to Westbury where we spent ages deciding on what ice cream mixes each person wanted. The guy was reall friendly and was more than happy or the girls to sample a variety of flavours. We even convinced him that we had come from a basketball match in which we had one! We then hung out in Westbury and enjoyed the lovely COLD evening! Sam was so cold that she was shaking and tried to use Flic and Amelia as a warmer! After ice cream, just want to say that Flic and I ate the girls under the table with a selection of 3 flavours, they all managed to only eat 2, we left to drive back to Clare's where we set up our beds for the night. We sat around and selected questions out of a box and each went around and answered them, it was a great way to get to know each other and to find out what interests each other likes. After doing this for a little while we lost Sam who drifted off to sleep, followed by Amelia! The other girls chatted a little bit longer and then they too drifted off and then it was just Flic and I who continued chatting!!!!! Hello the girls went to sleep before us!!!!! I don't know what is wrong with the youth today when the leaders stay awake later than they do! So after a late night, for some, we woke up to the lovely sound of my mobile phone (sorry guys was being missed so much!) We then managed to get ourselves together and us leaders made the girls breakfast, to start we had bacon with scrambbled eggs then we finished it off with pancakes with ice cream, cream and fruit salad! After some more lazing around the parents started to arrive so we started to pack up and say our goodbyes! Aneika, Phebe, Lizzie, Dakota and Amelia all enjoyed lounging around on the big comfy blow up matress and taking many happy snaps of themselves, can't wait to see Phebes pictures!
All in all it was a great night and we are looking forward to getting together for another one soon!
